for the Great Big Green Week,<\/strong> Sept 18th 10:30 to 2:30<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

West Dorset FoE are hosting the opening gathering of the GBGW at the Millennium Green in Bridport.<\/em><\/strong> There will be stalls, music and will finish up with a picnic.  \u201cDoors\u201d will open at 10:30.  There will be stalls from Transition Town Bridport, Dorset Community energy, Bridport co-housing and a chance to add your wisdom or frustration to a 7 foot high mural.  
The opening band the Treacle Eater Folk Band <\/strong>will be performing as you arrive, given a rest break by a local Taize choir.<\/em>  Then there will be a series of short speeches about events taking place later in the week, followed by a proclamation<\/a> by the mayor sending our support to the delegates in Glasgow (COP 26). <\/p>\n\n\n\n


After the proclamation, Psychadelephant<\/em><\/strong> will pick up their instruments and entertain us.  During their rest break we will hear a few songs from the Socialist Choir.  <\/em>We invite everyone to picnic on the Green, there will be coffee, homemade soup and flatbread available throughout.  As both FoE and the Millennium Green Trust are part of Plastic Free Bridport, we urge all to avoid using single-use plastic and to take any waste home with them. 
As this is written the forecast is fine, so come and enjoy this midday moment of relaxed entertainment, while we send our prayers to Glasgow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
